Nick Danziger was born in 1958 in London, UK and began his world travels at the age of thirteen. After attending the Chelsea Art School, in 1982 he was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship to follow ancient trade routes. The resulting Danziger's Travels, a bestseller, describes travelling in disguise in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and China.

He has since published Danziger's Adventures: From Miami to Kabul (1992), Danziger's Britain: A Journey to the Edge (1996) and The British (2001) — all printed by HarperCollins. He has also produced several award-winning television documentaries. He is the recipient of the 1992 Fellowship by the National Museum of Photography, Cinema and Television, in Bradford, UK. Affiliated with Contact Press Images since 1990, he is based in Monaco.
